The Book of Mark
Chapter 2 (NIV)
21"No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. 22And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, he pours new wine into new wineskins."

Sorry I was so late posting the verses! Daniel, welcome to the group! Your postings are very much appreciated!
As for these verses - I need to think about them some more. Not in a quiet frame of mind to meditate and reflect. I'll post comments later this evening. Looking to read others' comments to give me some ideas and clarification.
oh my gosh! this is what i've been doing. just trying to patch God onto my life. i see the holes in myself, and i just want him to plug the holes - but i don't really want to change and be made new.
i am the old wineskin. trying to pour his word into my old self. why else do i keep putting him last in my life? why else have i been so spotty in posting these daily verses? pray for me, please. i have to confess that i'm only allowing god into the top, superficial layer of my life and myself. i pray for true and deep transformation. i want god to be new north. i need to realign my life to point toward him.
and please! if i forget to post the verses - somebody call me! i'm depending on you to help keep me accountable.
