1. As he was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!"
2. "Do you see all these great buildings?" replied Jesus. "Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."
3. As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately,
4. "Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be fulfilled?"
5. Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no one deceives you.
6. Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many.

This world is not my home, I'm just a passing through, if heaven's not my home, O Lord what will I do? Let me not grow too impressed at the displays of man's prowess and ingenuity. In buildings, works, goods, things, we all can appreciate the excellence embodied in these. Yet every Good and perfect gifts come from God alone. If these "buildings" are not used in the furthering of the Lord's Kingdom, then these too shall pass. The lasting eternal things are things that are unseen. Let all my gifts and talents, no matter how small, be used to show how Great God is today. Lord, you are my treasure, help me shine this and not be captivated by the buildings of the world. Amen.
Woosub,
That was really beautiful. I thought I was reading a poem at first.
Amen!
