I assume that many names were omitted here. It's probably true that there were other sons and daughters who were born among these people who lived hundreds of years. Among the many people listed, I always think about how blessed and happy Enoch must have been since there is no indication that he underwent physical death but it says that he was taken away by God. It's quite interesting to see how many years just pass by within few chapters.
The story of Enoch really interests me. What happened at the age of 65 and the birth of his son, that caused him to finally walk with God? And it seems that he was the first man who was taken by God without having to physically die. I thought the prophet (forgot his name) was the first to be taken by God in that way.
I'm surprised we don't hear more about him from the Bible. Anyway, that hint of a story made me happy.
I too wonder why God took Enoch away. Nevertheless it is remarkable. Was it Elijah who never died also?
I wonder if there are people in the present times who God took them.
Lamech's 777 (jack-pot!) years of life is also very interesting.
