Genesis 6:5-8 (NIV)
5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. 6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them." 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

It's mentioned more than once that the Lord was grieved to have created mankind on this earth. I think about how sad God must have been at this point to see His creations turning away from Him. I am sure that every inclination of the thoughts of our heart are only evil all the time as well. I pray for a heart of obedience and humbleness, so that we may find favor in His eyes like Noah.
Has current men's wickedness the same or more from that point of time?
I thank God that He sent Christ to save us rather than another flood to wipe us out. I'm sure His heart is still filled with pain watching us turn away from him.
