Daniel 6:19-28 (NIV)
19 At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions' den. 20 When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?" 21 Daniel answered, "O king, live forever! 22 My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king." 23 The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. 24 At the king's command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions' den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones. 25 Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land: "May you prosper greatly! 26 "I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. "For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. 27 He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions." 28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus [a] the Persian.

Eventually, faithm innocence and sincerity of Daniel gets rewarded by God for he survives in the lions' den. We can see how important it is for a believer to have faith and reverence for God. Without faith, Daniel would not have prayed three times a day and he would never have dared to go into the lions' den with confidence. We can also see how God turns the heart and faith of King Darius through Daniel. Though the king did not believe initially, Daniel's miraculous survival convinced him of the eternal and sovereign God. We should also pray to God so that we could be used as His instruments to bring His grace to other people....
Fully devoted to God, one can even enter a lion's den and live to see another day.
This is one of a great example of how we should spread gospel. By living faithfully, others will get moved and turn back to God.
Because of Daniel's devotion and trust in God, he was able to move the king's heart.
I pray that I live out my life like Daniel so that I can be used like Daniel to bring back other lost sheep.
I want to be like Daniel, and first live out my life as a Christian. Fearing God before men, this is a quality that I really want to have in my everyday life. People and their thoughts of me drive me often like no other. I desire to live in the reality of God's presence. Like Daniel, I desire to exercise my faith, though in smaller ways. I am so touched that his exercise became the means through which the name of God was glorified. What joy and sense of purpose are given to a life devoted to such living..
