Mark 10:24-27

24The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
26The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, "Who then can be saved?"
27Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

Money so easily becomes a false God to people. Money often gives people a false sense of security and superiority over those who have less of it. I would imagine that most people spend more time in the day thinking about money than about God.

24The disciples (A)were amazed at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25"(B)It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." 26They were even more astonished and said to Him, "Then who can be saved?" 27Looking at them, Jesus said, "(C)With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God." (Mark 10:24-27 - NASB)

These verses point out to us that we can only enter and experience the Kingdom of God in our daily life, only with and through God, since "all things are possible with Him. (vs. 27)" There is really nothing in this world that we can and should rely on, but we should try to find our comfort in Christ. Unfortunately, most of us try to find means of security on this earth (financially), while we neglect our daily relationships with Christ. I pray that we will feel more helpless and dependent on Christ in our daily lives, so that we can fully surrender to the authority and Lordship of Christ.

It is only with God that everything is possible. Man alone can not do anything to save oneself yet we often think we can do it by ourself. Fully surrendering to God is pretty touch because of our sinful nature.

It is so foolish but I keep finding myself searching for that special something in this world to fulfill my desire and security when I clearly know that no such thing exist in this world.

The only hope the only security one can find is with God and I pray that I'll follow him completely.
