We can see from yesterday's and today's verses how the Lord has enabled Zechriah to open his mouth and to loosen his tongue so that he was able to speak again. It's obvious that he did not take the divine intervention by Gabriel seriously in the past chapter, until he became mute. However, we can see a positive transformation of Zechariah's attitude toward God, as soon as he is able to talk again. In fact, he was filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied and praised the Lord...Through this example, we can see how God shows us His authority and glory, by intervening in peoples' lives and showing them who is their true master. I pray that I will be able to listen to the Lord, so that I don't I ignore Him.
