Genesis 25:1-10 (NIV)

1 Abraham took [a] another wife, whose name was Keturah. 2 She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah. 3 Jokshan was the father of Sheba and Dedan; the descendants of Dedan were the Asshurites, the Letushites and the Leummites. 4 The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida and Eldaah. All these were descendants of Keturah.
5 Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac. 6 But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east. 7 Altogether, Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years. 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people. 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, 10 the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. [b] There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah.

Among the many wives he had, Abraham apparently loved Sarah the most. Abraham probably loved Sarah and Isaac more than others, since they were his first family that came with him to the land of Canaan... Throughout the 175 years that he lived, Abraham had many ups & downs. But overall, his faith and obedience in the Lord helped him to move on to a new life in the new blessed land. I think he must have felt good even when he died with so many people around him, knowing that he fulfilled everything that God had commnanded him to do.

Abraham's death "an old and full of years" sticks out. The word full means satisfied in the original word. Will my life be full as well? Meaning that despite the failures, hardships, and such could my life in this realm be stated to be a full one?

The definition of satisfied from God's view is completely different from ours. We often think of wealth, status, health as a satisfactory measurement when the truth is our relationship we build with God that makes it truly fully satisfying.

I pray that my life can be labeled as a full one as I continue to write my life through and with God.
